We offer Rex Officio located in the idyllic village of East Chaldon or Chaldon Herring as it may otherwise be known.  This compact, modern conversion, sleeping two only, is one of a pair.  Originally an office and newly converted this year, it is attached to its sister accommodation, Ex Officio, yet has its own separate entrances and garden area.

It is typically constructed of local stone and brick with a tiled roof, with flag stone flooring throughout.  Having a dual aspect, it overlooks part of the village on one side and rolling chalk hills on the other. It is ideally situated for ramblers and lovers of peaceful countryside, with walks emanating from the village to the South West Coastal Path, now a World Heritage Site, stretching from
St Aldhelms Head near Swanage to Exmouth.  Four miles south lies the picturesque coastal village of Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door, famous for its rock strata.  East Chaldon, itself, is a small hamlet but does have a pub offering good food.

The accommodation comprises a downstairs room about 18ft x 18ft with an upstairs bedroom and shower room.

Downstairs – entering from the rear of the property, the kitchen to the left is well appointed with new units, electric oven with
calor gas hob, microwave,   ice-box fridge and washing machine-tumble drier.

Further inside are the dining and sitting areas. A television and dvd recorder/player is provided. 

Upstairs – twin-bedded room, with duvet and two pillows per person as well as a shower room with handbasin and toilet.

Terrace – Terrace with furniture laid out on patio and open plan garden.

Parking – Off road, at rear of the house.

Heating is by oil-fired central heating.  No telephone, but the local public phone box is a stone’s throw away.
Changeover day is Friday to Friday.  Rent includes electricity, oil and calor gas services.
