We offer Damers Cottage located in the idyllic village of East Chaldon or Chaldon Herring as it may otherwise be known. Damers Cottage was originally a Farmhouse, with an adjoining barn and outbuildings dating from the 1580's.
It is typically constructed of flint and brick with a thatched roof and has been lovingly restored by the present owners. Having a dual aspect, it overlooks the village green on one side and rolling chalk hills on the other. Click here for cottage facilities
Ideally situated for walkers, with walks emanating from the village to the South West Coastal Path, now part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site. Four miles south east lies Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
20 minutes by car puts you in the county and market town of Dorchester or Weymouth for sandy beaches and seaside attractions. 40 minutes in the other direction is Swanage another seaside resort, and Studland with sandy dunes and the chain ferry link to Poole and Bournemouth.
